The Trails Community Garage Sale
Location:
Time: All Day Event
Description:
The Trails Community Garage Sale Guidelines

We’re excited for The Trails Community Garage Sale on Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th! There is no registration or sign-up required to participate, and there are no designated hours for the garage sale. Participating homeowners may choose the start and end times for their individual sales at their own discretion throughout Saturday and Sunday. Simply set up your sale at your home during the community garage sale weekend and participate at the times that work best for you.

HOA Coordination

The Trails Community Association has placed community garage sale signage and notified homeowners of the event. The Association is helping promote the community-wide garage sale, but each homeowner is responsible for operating and advertising their own individual sale.

Homeowner Responsibilities

Homeowners who choose to participate are responsible for:
Setting up, displaying, pricing, monitoring, and removing their own belongings.
Conducting all sales and transactions directly with buyers.
Keeping all sale items on their own property and ensuring sidewalks, streets, common areas, and neighboring properties remain clear.
Monitoring their property and belongings throughout the sale.
Cleaning up all items, tables, trash, and other materials promptly after the sale.
Following all applicable community rules and local requirements.
Providing any additional advertising they would like for their individual sale.
Help Spread the Word!

The HOA will advertise the community-wide garage sale, but we encourage participating homeowners to help spread the word!

Feel free to share or repost the Community Garage Sale announcement on social media, neighborhood groups, and other appropriate garage sale platforms. Homeowners may also advertise their individual address and items for sale. Participating homeowners are welcome to place temporary signs throughout the neighborhood directing shoppers to their individual garage sale. All homeowner-posted garage sale signs must be removed by the end of the day on Sunday, September 13th.

The more we spread the word, the better the turnout!

Parking & Traffic

Please be considerate of your neighbors and remind visitors not to block driveways, mailboxes, sidewalks, intersections, fire hydrants, or access for emergency vehicles. All vehicles must follow applicable parking and traffic laws.

Important Disclaimer

Participation in the Community Garage Sale is completely voluntary. Each participating homeowner is solely responsible for the operation of the garage sale conducted on their property, including their merchandise, setup, transactions, guests, customers, advertising, security, cleanup, and any injuries, losses, damages, disputes, or other incidents arising from or related to their individual sale.
The Trails Community Association is coordinating and promoting the community-wide garage sale dates only. The Association does not operate, supervise, manage, or control individual homeowner garage sales and is not responsible for individual sales, merchandise, transactions, personal property, theft, damage, injuries, or disputes occurring on or in connection with a homeowner’s property or sale, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Please use appropriate care when welcoming members of the public onto your property and keep personal belongings and valuables secure.

We hope everyone has a fun and successful Community Garage Sale weekend!
